Working at Thera has been an incredibly rewarding chapter in my journey as an occupational therapist. What truly sets this clinic apart is its genuine commitment to growth, not only for the children and families we support, but also for us as clinicians.

When I first joined, the mentorship program was truly a transformative part of my development. Thera provided a structured and supportive environment that strengthened my clinical skills through a more sensory-based and play-driven approach. With help from my mentors, I learned to look more deeply into each child’s unique needs which helped allow me to approach every session with greater confidence and much more compassion.

Beyond clinical training however, the work culture here is something that I treasure too. It is a collaborative space where open communication is encouraged. No question is ever considered too small when having discussions here. Whether navigating complex cases or brainstorming new intervention strategies, I know I can rely on my colleagues for thoughtful insights and support.

Ultimately, being part of a team that values both professional excellence and family-centered care helped shaped my practice to become more meaningful for every child. I am proud to be part of a community that nurtures not only the growth of the families we serve, but also the therapists who walk alongside them.

Therabilities was my first clinic right after passing the board exam, and they really made that transition feel smooth and manageable. From the start, I felt supported not just by my co-therapists but also by the admin team, who are always willing to help and guide you along the way. The environment is warm and collaborative, which makes a big difference especially when you’re just starting out.

I also really appreciate their mentorship program, especially the focus on sensory integration, which helped me build both my skills and confidence. The play area is well-equipped, giving kids multiple options to meet their sensory needs and making sessions more effective and engaging.

I have been working at Therabilities for more than a decade, and I am truly grateful to be part of it. It has been a haven for a teacher like me, as all the materials I need are readily available. There is also a comfortable space where we can rest and have our meals.

The therapists are highly professional and work collaboratively to support the students they co-manage. The administrative staff are dedicated, approachable, and always willing to help, creating a positive and supportive work environment.

In the therapy world, where things tend to get too toxic and professionals are too prone to burn out, Therabilities has become a haven. Yes, the workload might be the same, and the cases you’ll handle are just as difficult as the ones you get in other centers, but Therabilities offers safety and comfort in a way that others don’t. You get to work with people who are very supportive- people who don’t judge you for your mistakes, but recognize your weaknesses and help you turn them into strengths. It is comforting to know that you are surrounded by people who see you as human in a world that expects you to be super.

Working in Therabilities is such a wonderful experience! I don’t feel like I am working every time that I am here as the people are like family to me. Plus, imagine spending the day playing with kids! At times, evaluation and intervention may get challenging but my mentors are always there to help out and guide me. They are also very supportive with continuing education programs!
